Location. The Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain in Paradise Valley, Ariz., is set on 53 landscaped acres that reflect the natural beauty of the Southwest. Designated in 2006 as one of the World's Best Places to Stay on the Condé Nast Traveler's Gold List, this boutique hideaway is three miles from the shopping venues at Scottsdale Fashion Square and five miles from Old Town Scottsdale. Hotel Features. The resort's restaurant, elements, offers an Asian influenced menu with an emphasis on local ingredients. Offerings include Tartare of Tuna Herb Salad, Pan Roasted Duck Breast and Braised Short Ribs with Creamy Truffled Grits. The adjacent lounge, jade bar, boasts innovative drinks including the Paradise Fizz, a secluded patio and a fire bowl for cool evenings. Conference rooms are available, as is a business center and wireless Internet access. Sanctuary Spa offers a wealth of services with Indonesian, Japanese and European influences. Treatments include the Onsen Longevity Treatment, Bamboo Lemongrass Scrub, Reiki and the Sanctuary Stone Massage. The Spa features a meditation garden, reflecting pond and Watsu pool. The resort boasts tennis clinics, six championship tennis courts, and four pools, including an infinity edge and 25 yard lap pool.
Guestrooms. The 98 guest suites and casitas boast Minimalist décor, exposed wooden beams and custom designed cabinetry echoing the warm simplicity of Southwestern design. Each room offers slippers and premium bedding with designer Italian 300 thread count linens and duvets. Bathrooms feature travertine marble and Yeah Baby toiletries and bathrobes. Amenities include CD and DVD players and high speed Internet access. Minibars are provided.
